Croton-Harmon Union Free School District Board of Education Regular Meeting
Date: Thursday, November 7, 2024
Time: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Location: Croton-Harmon HS Library, 36 Old Post Road South
 

The Board of Education will convene Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 7:30 PM for a regular meeting. Before the meeting, community members are invited to discuss their questions and concerns with trustees of the Croton-Harmon Board of Education. No registration required. 


Fall Flower Workshop
Date: Friday, November 8, 2024
Time: 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Croton Free Library
 

The Croton Free Library invites the community to an evening event hosted by Upper Village Blooms, focusing on flower arrangements. This free class is open to individuals aged 16 and older, regardless of skill level. Registration is required, and sign-up will begin on Friday, November 1, at 9 a.m. More information can be found on the Croton Library website. 


Jazz at the UU
Date: Friday, November 8, 2024
Time: 7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: 2021 Albany Post Road
 

A group of local musicians, led by Gunnar Anderson, will perform popular jazz selections, with poetry interspersed between the music. The program is funded by a "donate what you wish" model. Following the performance, there will be a reception where attendees can meet the performers.


Pumpkin Compost Collection
Dates: Saturday, November 9 and Sunday, November 10, 2024

Revolution on the Hudson! Living History Experience
Dates: Saturday, November 9, 2024
Time: 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: Croton Point Park
 
A living history day where the American Revolution and the story of Teller’s Point (now Croton Point Park) come to life! Over 100 historic reenactors plus 18th-century craftspeople, musicians, farm animals, food trucks & more. Explore British & Continental military camps, meet generals, soldiers, traitors, spies and revolutionary women. Watch weavers, cooks, medics and demonstrations of blacksmithing and Lenape skills. Participate in colonial games, colonial dancing, and try your hand at Revolutionary War spycraft. Free parking in the park or use the free shuttle from the Croton-Harmon Metro North Station.
New Croton Review Launch Party
Dates: Saturday, November 9, 2024
Time: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Location: Hudson Valley Books for Humanity, 67 Central Ave., Ossining
 

The Croton Council on the Arts will release the Fall 2024 issue of New Croton Review, a literary and arts journal, on November 2, 2024. A publication celebration will be held for contributing authors, artists, editors, and interested members of the public. This event will provide an opportunity to meet some of the writers and artists who have contributed to the journal's six issues, spanning from Summer 2022 to Fall 2024, as well as connect with the journal's readership and editorial team. Veterans Day Ceremony

The American Legion Fox Eklof Post 505 will celebrate Veterans Day at 11 AM on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Veterans Corners. 
Veterans Day Luncheon at the Croton Yacht Club

Location: 6 Elliott Way, Croton Yacht Club
 

Free admission for Village veterans, spouses, surviving spouses, active military, and spouses. Suggested donation for non-military attendees: $15 per adult, $5 for teens 16+, free for children. Flu & COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic

Location: Stanley H. Kellerhouse Municipal Building, Georgianna Grant Room (2nd Floor), 1 Van Wyck Street
 

Save Mor Pharmacy will be hosting a Flu and COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at the Municipal Building. Flu vaccines are available for individuals aged 3 and older, and COVID-19 vaccines are offered for those 18 and older with insurance. Register online and remember to bring your insurance card. Vaccines are free with most major insurance plans. For any questions about the vaccines or insurance coverage, please contact Save Mor at 914-271-2900.


Fall Book & Bake Sale
Date: Saturday, November 16 and Sunday, November 17, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: Croton Free Library
 

The Croton Free Library will host a Fall Book & Bake Sale. The sale will open with a $10 early bird admission at 8:00 AM on Saturday. Regular hours will be from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday.


Honoring Pete Tsagarakis

Join the Village of Croton-on-Hudson HEART Committee in honoring Pete Tsagarakis, owner of the Croton Colonial Restaurant and Diner, for his generous and extensive support of local charities over his 54 years as a business owner in Croton. Pete has proudly supported organizations including the Croton Lions Club, Croton Caring, Run Against Hunger, Croton Little League, and many others. The Committee extends its gratitude to Pete and his family for their contributions to our community and for making the Croton Colonial Diner a beloved gathering place for generations. Enjoy refreshments while mingling with neighbors and friends as we celebrate Pete's incredible contributions to our community.

Turkey Trot For A Healthy Heart

Join the Rotary Club of Croton for a walk around the high school track to raise funds for the American Heart Association. $5 donation per person.
